Media Darlings is the 16th episode in the Season of Atomic Puppet (Series).
Synopsis[]
Atomic Puppet take it personally when the media fail to give him proper recognition.
Plot[]
Atomic Puppet is fighting a giant toy robot and he defeats it, but he also throws it into the sun. Atomic Puppet hears cheering and AP thinks that the city is celebrating their victory but in reality, the people are celebrating the grand opening of a new do-it-yourself hair saloon by Harry Von Follicle. AP is frustrated that Harry Von Follicle is taking the spotlight from him and Joey every time they save the day. They had ended their victories with a dance and fireworks to celebrate prior to Rex Bordeaux and Harry Von Follicle’s media meddling. Atomic Puppet goes to Rex Bordeaux's home to see what he is up to regarding crediting Harry Von Follicle for every victory they had done. Rex tells them that Follicle wanted to look good in front of the city that everyone would come to line up to his hair saloon to take everyone’s hair for his master plan. Harry Von Follicle comes to them and overhears this and plays his keytar to summon the wigs and hairs to build himself a big suit of hairs to take over the world. Atomic Puppet uses Atomic windstorm to blow him away and a water hose to soak him down but nothing seems to be working to take down the villain. Harry Von Follicle collects more hair by playing his keytar until Joey gets an idea to use AP to collect some static electricity by rubbing him against the sky blimp. Atomic Puppet goes into full force toward Follicle and defeats him by destroying his hairy suit. Harry Von Follicle tells Atomic Puppet that he will be back and laughs while he is being taken to jail inside a police car. Rex Bordeaux gives credit to Atomic Puppet for saving the day on TV but AP is still not fully satisfied.

Trivia[]
- It revealed that Rex's mustache is not real, but rather covers up the exposed parts.
- This is the only episode where Rex is played as a secondary antagonist.
- Running Gag: Every time Joey and AP do anything heroic or something to excite the crown, Rex ignores anything related to AP and Joey in place of Von Follicle.
